Digital Retinal Imaging
WHAT IS IT? A two-dimensional direct view of the light sensitive tissue at the back of the eye (the Retina).
WHO SHOULD GET IT? A baseline photo is recommended for everyone. It is increasingly more important for patients with a personal or family history of high blood pressure, diabetes, retinal problems, macular degeneration, floaters/flashes, high prescriptions, reduced vision, headaches, or taking certain medications.
WHY? Digital Retinal Imaging is used to aid optometrists in the detection and monitoring of retinal conditions and other health related issues that could lead to partial vision loss or blindness. The digital retina image allows for a more detailed image of affected areas by using different filters and magnification.
IT IS FAST, EASY, AND COMFORTABLE.
